Dr Vicki Baard has national and international experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in Management Accounting. Her teaching experience extends into Small Business Management, focusing on accounting in the small firm environment. Her areas of research, publication and supervision of students include management accounting, performance measurement, accounting & finance education, small business, the service industry and capacity management. Vicki’s research has been recognised with awards, invitations to present at international seminars and funded by competitive research grants. She is currently on the editorial board of Australasian Accounting, Business & Finance Journal (AABFJ) and is the Editor of Carpe Diem (The Australian Journal of Business & Informatics), a student focused journal that distributes contributions from students nationally and internationally. Prior to joining academia, Vicki worked within the entertainment and service industries.
